For 25 years, Open House London has held the firm belief that all are welcome. Victoria Thornton founded the cause in 1992 on the principal that free access to London’s best buildings can inspire the public about the benefits of great design.

How will you choose to see inside London?

 These museums, galleries, and historic homes are just a few of the 240 across the UK that are free to see with a National Art Pass from Art Fund – the national fundraising charity for art. They include: 2 Willow Road, Barbican Centre, Benjamin Franklin House, Brunel Museum, Burlington House: Royal Academy of Arts, Chiswick House, Dorich House Museum, Dulwich Picture Gallery and more.

Young minds are fascinated by buildings and places and how they fit together. This collection highlights Open House Families activities at Old Oak, Park Royal and City Hall as well as child-friendly building visits at: 105 Barking Road, Ace Cafe, Bruce Castle Museum, Burlington House: Royal Academy of Arts, Burlington House: Royal Astronomical Society, Christ Church Clapha, City Hall and more.

Women have played a key role in shaping London’s skyline and streets for years, and today’s generation of female architects are at the forefront of city-thinking. Here are some of the projects led by women transforming London’s skyline: 184 Shepherds Bush Road, 8a Belsize Court Garages, Angel Court, Blackhorse Workshop, Blue House Yard, Colby Lodge, Geffrye Museum, Greenwich Yacht Club and more.

     

 From the new U.S. Embassy to Peckham Levels, there are more than 180 new buildings to see this year. These are the highlights: 129 Maze Hill, Aga Khan Centre, A House and A Garden, Bloomberg European Headquarters, Bridge Theatre and more.
