Burton Agnes Hall & Gardens Gardeners’ Fair

June 15 - June 16

Easter Egg Hunt, Sunday 21st & Monday 22nd April.

What?

The 25th Gardeners’ Fair hosted at Burton Agnes Hall & Gardens will return this June, for two days of horticulture heaven. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of this social summer event, visitors can expect over 50 exhibitors selling specialist nurseries and plants, talks, demonstrations, food and drink and entertainment for kids.

Burton Agnes Hall & Gardens has a long and illustrious British history. Built in 1173 in Norman times by English baron and justiciar Roger de Stuteville, it sturdily remained throughout the Tudor, Elizabethan, Jacobean, William and Mary/Queen Anne, Georgian, Regency, Victorian times and the Twentieth Century. The house was given to the Burton Agnes Hall Preservation Trust in 1977 and has since been awarded the White Rose Award for ‘Visitor Attraction of the Year’, curating a large and exciting event schedule yearly so that everyone, including families with young children, can make the most of the impressive grounds and historic house and hall.

The Gardners’ Fair is just one of many festivals and events put on at Burton Agnes Hall & Gardens. The fair is a must-visit for budding gardeners‘, seasoned horticulturists, or just those who like the idea of spending a sunny summer day surrounded by all things garden-related. There will be over 50 exhibitors to shop from, selling everything from plants to tools, furniture, gifts, and ornaments. There will also be experts on hand, from the Burton Agnes’ gardening team, to give advice on how to make the most out of your garden. In the courtyard, you’ll be able to shop homegrown plants that have been grown in the gardens of Burton Agnes, and make sure to stop at the cafe for locally sourced snacks and home-cooked meals, as well as locally roasted fairtrade coffee.
