Actor Emily Berrington on her love of perfume, morning routine and hero beauty product.
On filming days I’m up really early. I’m straight into a really hot shower, followed by my Clarisonic for what feels like a mini facial. Because I have so much make-up on during a work day and my skin gets really dry, I prepare it with a lot of The Organic Pharmacy’s Skin Rescue Oil, followed by Melvita’s Nectar Suprême eye and lip contour cream.
My makeup bag is ever growing because I love discovering new products. At the moment my favourites are Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation, Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Concealer, Chanel powder compact and Charlotte Tilbury Beach Stick for lips and cheeks.
My hair gets styled a lot at work so I try to take really good care of it in between. I wash and condition it with Pureology products, which give a nice squeaky clean feel.
I flit between three perfumes depending on how I feel. Chanel No 5, Bella Freud’s 1970 and Penhaligon’s Blasted Bloom, which I love.
I keep fit by running. I volunteer with GoodGym, which pairs you with an isolated elderly person in your community known as your ‘coach’. The idea is that you run to their house every week for a visit, stay for a chat and cup of tea, then run home again. They inspire you to get out and do it, come rain or shine. I’ve become very close to my coach and really look forward to running to her.
My hero product is the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer. It makes my fine blonde hair feel so much stronger, healthier and thicker.
