The style maven and podcast queen loves blazers and printed dresses…
What event will you be dressing up for this month and what will you be wearing?)
I am going to Morocco with family and friends and I’ll be wearing an elegant dress from resort wear label, .
What do you find stressful about event dressing?
I actually really enjoy dressing up because it’s a rarity for me these days. It’s an excuse to road-test things that don’t get to go to casual kitchen suppers!
Printed dresses for their ease. I love , , and as they can work in the day with ankle boots and a trench coat and at night too, paired with heels and pearl earrings from or .
What’s your everyday uniform?
Blazers (I love and , and my favourite is a vintage camel wool one bought from for £50), with vintage and ankle boots – my most worn are a flat pearl-strewn black, lace-up pair by and I foresee my new canvas chunky-soled ones being a firm contender for the top spot, too. I mainly work from home but I’ll have meetings in town or a walk with my baby daughter, and typically this outfit isn’t too ‘fashion’ to work outside of work, nor too casual for meetings.
, and .
I never thought I’d say this, but: a great suit. I have a black one from which is the best cut for me, and on the high street I really like the tailoring at . For actual tailoring, are the bee’s knees – they recently made me an amazing burnt orange moire silk suit.
Summer holiday essentials?
dresses, crochet from , easy gauzy cover-ups from small labels like and , sawn-off Levi’s shorts, slides, battered Ecru sneakers, masses and masses of books and swimwear by .
Silk pyjamas by or a pair of ‘s upscale tracksuit bottoms with a cashmere jumper are my go-to for a lazy day.
I love little beaded bags by and pochettes from , ’s Another 13 fragrance and earrings by Alighieri. I also love for affordable, fine gold jewellery.
To be extra cosy I’ll wear a big scarf from and a blanket coat by .
Under the radar labels you can share with us?
I love for affordable costume jewellery,, and for partywear, for cashmere jumpers, and for interesting, everyday pieces and for great, nineties-cued footwear.
Favourite online retailers and why?
Vintage and antique platforms. There’s such a brilliant selection now; I can spend hours surfing , and , and for my home, , , Silence, , , , … I could go on!
Trend you’ll be embracing this month?
I’m less about trends and more about discovering new combinations. As it’s almost spring, I’ll probably be back in a frilly silk shirt by , with corduroy dungarees by – a favourite combo of mine.
Fun tights from – they instantly change an outfit so you can get a good three days out of the same clothes. Vital knowledge with a young baby!
