  • Byredo The Certified Pilot Sunglasses, £380

Whether it’s to protect from a scorching sun-in-your-eyes kind of day or just the incessant glare in the city, sunglasses are a must in any wardrobe – and who would’ve thought our new favourite pair would be by the same name behind our favourite perfume? Boutique perfumery Byredo have launched their Solaires collection which have quickly made it into our shopping baskets (along with a second bottle of 1996 for good measure). The genderless frames are modelled after three personas; The Engineer, The Bohemian and The Certified Pilot. We’re looking to the latter to satisfy our Top Gun cravings. The angled, oval-shaped frame features a double nose bridge and large lenses to provide maximum sun protection while also bringing back the classic shape.

  • Benoit Missolin Sissy Hat from Koibird, £220

With the proof of sun damage known now more than ever before, we’re no longer skimping on the sunscreen (or skipping it altogether) and laying out for hours on end. And while yes we are willing to put up with that white zinc cast in the name of healthy skin, hats off to Benoit Missolin for making sun protection infinitely more chic with this stylish number. The wide-brim, sunshine-ready, floppy design will keep your face shaded and safe from UV rays, while elevating your summer look to a whole new level. Finished with a slim black grosgrain ribbon tied into bows on both sides, it’s a sophisticated but playful take on the classic straw hat and one that’ll top off any summer wardrobe.

  • For more information, enquire about partnerships, request a bag for a friend or make a donation visit

Treatment Bag is a new charity set up to offer a little respite to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy or those who find themselves beyond treatment. With a mission to create a ‘hug in a bag’, the luxurious cloth bags aren’t medical but instead filled with beautiful gifts from beauty brands like Cowshed, Aesop, This Works; cashmere from Franchetti Bond; a scented candle from True Grace and more. Entirely run by volunteers, Treatment Bag have already entered a partnership to supply Healthcare at Home with 25 bags a month for nurses to distribute, with plans to secure distribution throughout the NHS in the future.

  • French Sole Hefner Blue Velvet Swan Lake, £250

Winter is officially a distant memory and we’ve firmly put our boots away in favour of more summer friendly footwear – but as much as we’d like them to be, flip-flops aren’t exactly work-wear appropriate. French Sole have launched their third collaboration with the English National Ballet, this time inspired by the timeless classic Swan Lake. The British designer has long been known to make political statements through her designs, and her new campaign t-shirt ‘GLOBAL GREEN NEW DEAL’ is no exception. The powerful words refer to Katharine’s lobbying for a new legislation that only allow goods into our economic blocs that are made to the same standards outside, as are mandatory inside – meaning that labour laws including health and safety are enforced; there are no underage workers; and workers receive a realistic living wage and have the right to form trade unions. Messages and legislations like this are more pertinent than ever, so get your tee and spread the word.

  • Edelweiss Bespoke Self-Playing Pianos Sold Exclusively at Harrods, POA

  • Pour Les Femmes Silk Night Dress in Pale Pink, £360

Nothing says easy luxury like a silk slip, and while this one from Pour Les Femmes is labelled a night-dress we’re tempted to take it out of the bedroom and into every major event we have planned this season. The 100% silk slip is deliciously soft against (possibly sunburnt) skin, easy to wear and sublimely flattering with a v-neck which is mirrored at its back with a similar deep v. Plus unlike white shades, the light pink colour suits at whatever point of summer you’re at, whether that’s pale beginnings or deep tan ends. Unlike other plastic totes where house-keys and coins seem to disappear into a blackhole, the zipped pocket keeps all your bits and bobs secure and within reach. Carried in hand or slung over the shoulder, the bags are a comfortable (and sustainable) change from single-use plastic bags – and won’t break on you! With a bright modernist design, minimum of 30% recycled material, double 100% cotton handles and a sturdy, wipe-clean surface, it’s a winner on all counts.
